Krent, an eminent American legal scholar, former Dean of Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a leading expert in constitutional law and artificial intelligence in the legal system.
These lectures are part of the Gdańsk International Master Lectures, a distinguished initiative that brings world-renowned legal scholars to our Faculty.

About Prof. Harold J. Krent
Prof. Harold J. Krent is a distinguished American lawyer and professor of law, affiliated with Chicago-Kent College of Law. He holds degrees from Princeton University and New York University School of Law, where he was an editor of the NYU Law Review.
Key Career Highlights:
• Dean of Chicago-Kent College of Law (2003–2019) – spearheaded numerous academic innovations, including the Praxis Program, which won the Excellence in Legal Education Award from the Illinois State Bar Association in 2015.
• Recipient of the Leonard Jay Schrager Award of Excellence (2018) – recognized by the Chicago Bar Foundation for improving access to justice for underprivileged communities.
• Named “Person of the Year” by Chicago Lawyer (2018) – honored for his contributions as Dean and his efforts in promoting pro bono legal work among law students.
